A thrilling victory over Wigan Athletic has all but assured West Ham’s safety from relegation. The Hammers had gone behind to an own goal by Jonathan Spector but goals from Ilan and Radoslav Kovac saw West Ham go into half time with the lead. Though Hugo Rodallega managed to pull Wigan back on level terms, Scott Parker scored a vital goal for his side with just 13 minutes remaining on the clock.

The win sees West Ham go six points clear off the relegation zone and with the Hammers boasting a far superior goal difference, Hull City will have to win their remaining two games by record margin if they are to have any hopes of pushing West Ham back into the drop zone.

Meanwhile Fulham will be looking to climb into the top half of the table by registering their first win in four games. With his side still in with a great chance to qualify for the Europa League final, Roy Hodgson is understandably keeping the focus on the European campaign though the Fulham coach will be keen to finish the season inside the top half of the table.
