Milan have slipped up in recent games to allow Roma to climb above them to the second spot. With a crucial second leg of the Champions League knockout stage coming up next week, manager Leonardo will be keen that his side is in the best frame of mind as well as in peak form.

Milan play Bari on Sunday before taking on Fiorentina. Marco Borreillo is back to fitness and should feature in this game, but Clarence Seedorf, Alessandro Mancini, and Luca Antonini are doubtful starters for this game. Gianluca Zambrotta has recovered from a calf injury and could be on the bench for this one.

Meanwhile Fiorentina have had a mixed season so far and sit on the 11th spot on the league table with 31 points from 23 games. They take on Livorno on Sunday before welcoming Milan and manager Cesare Prandelli will hope they can take advantage of Milan's vulnerability at the back.
