Fiorentina took the game to Inter in Florence on Saturday and very nearly upset them. La Viola managed to hold the Nerazzurri to a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Keirrison and Per Koldrup. Dropping of points proved to be costly for Inter as Roma overtook them at the top of Serie A.

Fiorentina are again likely to be without Juan Vargas as well as Gianluca Comotto, whose cross allowed Keirrison to break the deadlock on Saturday. Alberto Gilardino started on the bench in their last game, but is likely to return to the starting XI against the Beneamata.

Inter won 1-0 in the first leg of this semifinal and therefore simply need to avoid defeat in order to seal a spot in the final next month. Coach Mourinho will have one eye on the weekend clash against Juventus as well as the upcoming Champions League semifinal against Barcelona, and might choose to rest a few players.
