Falkirk are four points away from safety, languishing at the bottom of the table having managed just 4 points from 10 games played so far. Last week they lost by a 3-1 margin to St Johnstone with Collin Samuel, Chris Millar and Murray Davidson netting in for the home side. Falkirk's lone goal was scored by substitute Carl Finnigan.

Falkirk manager Eddie May will hope his side can put up a decent performance against Celtic. Danijel Marceta, Brian McLean and Ryan Flynn are doubtful starters for this game, but Burton O'Brien could feature in this one.

Celtic on the other hand arrested a run of poor performances at home with a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock last week. Goals from Aiden McGeady and Georgios Samaras gave the Hoops a 2-0 lead in the first half itself, while Niall McGinn grabbed the third on 78 minutes.

The win takes Celtic to the top of the SPL table with 23 points from 10 games. They hold a four-point advantage over Rangers, who have a game in hand.

Manager Tony Mowbray will hope his side can continue to display the same form away from home as well. The Bhoys take on Hamburg in a Europa League clash on Thursday night before the Falkirk encounter.
