The Swiss champions secured one of the upsets of this season's competition when they registered a shock 1-0 win away to AC Milan in their last game. Hannu Tihinen scored the only goal of the match early in the 10th minute to hand Zurich one of the most famous victories in their history.

The win sees Zurich climb to second in their group table and with Milan struggling very badly for form, coach Bernard Challandes will be confident that his side can progress to the knockout stage if they manage to avoid defeat against Marseille in their next two matches.

That should not pose much problem for the Swiss side if they can maintain their excellent performances on European stage with Marseille clearly out of form. Marseille opened their group stage campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Milan but were completely decimated by Real Madrid with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a brace while Kaka scored another in a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Manager Didier Deschamps will also be worried over Marseille's poor run of form on the road with the French club losing their last six away games. Deschamps will also have to deal with injury concerns with a number of players including Cyril Rool, Julien Rodriguez and Souleymane Diawara all out of action due to injuries while there are fitness concerns over Mathieu Valbuena and Mamadou Niang.
