After beating local rivals AaB in the Danish Superliga on Saturday, FC Copenhagen turn their attention to the Europa League as they host Czech giants Sparta Prague in a Group K game at the Parken Stadium. FCK rode on the back of a double from Canadian midfielder Atiba Hutchinson to beat AaB 2-1 on Sunday. Aalborg took the lead through Daniel Fredheim Holm, but Hutchinson scored twice in the matter of ten second half minutes to give Copenhagen a much needed win.

Copenhagen lost their Group K opener 2-0 to CFR Cluj. Emmanuel Culio and Lacine Traore were on target for the Romanian side. FCK are currently third in the Superliga, three points behind leaders OB.

Sparta Prague managed to hold PSV Eindhoven to a 2-2 draw in their group opener. The game burst into life in the last fifteen minutes with two goals being scored by either side. Sparta took the lead when an unmarked Roman Hubnik headed past Swedish keeper Andreas Isaksson. PSV replied through Jonathan Reis, but Sparta again went ahead when Vaclav Kadlec surged into the box and crossed for Martin Zeman to fire home.

Unfortunately for the Czech side, they ended up conceding again. Bony Wilfried was adjudged to have fouled Danko Lazovic in the box, and the referee pointed to the spot. Reis converted the resultant spot kick to allow PSV to come away with a point from the Czech capital. Sparta drew with Viktoria Plzen in their weekend domestic game.
