Having suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to arch rivals Liverpool, Everton put up an excellent performance against Chelsea to secure a 2-1 win over the league leaders. Meanwhile Manchester United will be looking to carry on their excellent performance in the midweek and maintain the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table. United took a big step towards qualifying for the quarter finals of the Champions League by beating AC Milan and manager Alex Ferguson will be delighted with his side’s recent performances.

Nani will be unavailable for selection after being sent off against Aston Villa last week while there is still some doubt over Nemanja Vidic after the defender requested extra time to recover from his leg injury.
