Meanwhile West Ham manager Alan Curbishley will be hoping that his side will be able to build on their morale boosting victory against Blackburn Rovers in their last match.

West Ham had lost their last three matches 4-0 and looked set for a fourth straight defeat when Roque Santa Cruz put Blackburn in the lead. However Dean Ashton equalized six minutes from half time before Fred Sears grabbed all three points in the 81st minute.

West Ham continue to suffer from a serious injury crisis with as many as 10 players out of action though four players including Matthew Upson, Lee Bowyer and Faubert look to have recovered from their respective injuries.
