Everton are in a comfortable position after having secured a 2-0 win away in Bergen on February 13 and are favorites to go through to the next round. Everton turned on the style in the second half, taking the lead on the hour mark when Leon Osman found himself in possession just outside the penalty box and smashed the ball past Hakon Opdal.

Victor Anichebe came off the bench late in the game and secured the win by doubling the lead two minutes from full time. It was Anichebe's fourth goal in the competition and the 19-year old is soon building a reputation of scoring late goals in the game with all of the four goals coming in the final five minutes of a match.

SK Brann are yet to score a goal on English soil in two meetings and will have to put up a vastly improved performance if they are to progress to the next round. However they face a difficult task with Everton winning two of their three matches at home and have conceded just one goal in their last five matches in all competitions.

With the club doing well in the league, manager David Moyes will be confident that his team will progress to the next round. The winners of the tie could face a potential away trip to either Rosenborg or Fiorentina in the next round on March 6.
