Everton will be looking to build on their excellent performance against Manchester City from last weekend by booking a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable victory over Birmingham City on Saturday. The Toffees put up an excellent display against an in form City side to register a comfortable 2-0 win and move into the top half of the table. Manager David Moyes will be looking for more of the same this weekend as he looks to repeat last’s season’s performance in the tournament that saw Everton qualify to the final before losing out to Chelsea.

Everton needed late goals from Tim Cahill and Leighton Baines to secure their passage in the third round after Kevan Hurst had equalized for Carlisle Town early in the first half. Meanwhile Birmingham City will be hoping to maintain their excellent recent form by dumping out last season’s finalists and progress to the fifth round for the first time in four years. Birmingham’s match against Portsmouth was washed out last weekend and manager Alex McLeish will be hopeful that the unexpected rest will prove to be beneficial for his side.
