England will be looking to make full use of a life line thrown to them by Israel with a victory over Croatia when the two teams play in their next Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday.

Israel's victory over Russia has opened a back door for England to grab qualification to the tournament if they manage to beat Croatia in the midweek. With the coach and the players receiving a lot of flak from the media for their poor performance in the campaign so far, the team will be keen to end the campaign with a convincing victory against a team that will end the campaign top of the group table.

Steve McClaren has recalled David Beckham back into the squad after the winger missed last month's clash against Russia and Israel due to injury.  However England will be without the defensive duo of John Terry and Rio Ferdinand along with Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney with four players out injured. Owen Hargreaves missed the Austria clash and it is unclear if he is fit for the crucial Croatia game. England will be coming into the game with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Austria in the friendly on Friday and will be looking to take full advantage of Croatia's shock 2-0 defeat to Macedonia in the qualifier match on Saturday.

Goran Maznov and Ilco Naumoski scored late in the game to earn a well deserved victory against Croatia who have already qualified for the Euro 2008 finals. Croatia coach Slaven Bilic though will be hoping his players can end on a high at Wembley. With vociferous fans backing them, England will expect to do well against their opponents.

England are second in Group E with 23 points from 11 games, while Croatia are on top with 26 points from 11 games. Watch England vs Croatia live online at free-football.tv.
