England will be confident of qualifying for their first international final in more than 24 years when they take on Sweden in the semi final of the UEFA European U-21 Championship on Friday. Catch all the live streaming soccer from that game here on Live Sport Network.

The Three Lions start the game as favorites to progress to the next round and manager Stuart Pearce will be confident that his side can deliver the goods after an excellent group stage that saw them beat Spain 2-0 to book their place in the semi finals.

England had opened the campaign with a narrow 2-1 win over Finland but turned on the style with the win over Spain as Fraizer Campbell and James Milner hit the back of the net. A win on Friday will see England qualify to the finals for the first time since 1984 when they lifted the trophy by beating Spain.

Sweden on the other hand will be hoping to create history on home soil after having already equaled their best ever performance in the competition by qualifying to the semi finals. Coached by Tommy Soderberg and Jorgen Lennartsson, Sweden started the campaign in the best possible fashion with a 5-1 thumping of Belarus.

However a narrow 2-1 defeat to Italy meant that Sweden had to beat Serbia in their final group game in order to keep their hopes alive and the players rose to the occasion with Marcus Berg scoring a brace early in the game with Ola Toivonen adding the third.

Home support will be heavily in favor of the Swedes, but the odds favor England for this one. The winner of the match will face either Italy or Germany in the final to be played at the Malmo New Stadium on June 29.
