England face the Czech Republic in what is their last friendly before the serious business of the World Cup qualifiers begins. Watch all the international football live here on Live Sport Network.

Emile Heskey is set to make his first appearance for his national side under Fabio Capello as he has called up the Wigan striker as part of his 23-man squad to face Czech Republic in a friendly on Wednesday.

 

 

The 30-year old striker last played for his country back in September 2007 during England's 3-0 win over Russia. While a series of injuries has kept the former Liverpool striker out of contention, Heskey impressed Capello with some good displays for Wigan in the later part of the last season.

Paul Robinson was included in the 23-man squad but is expected to sit on the bench with Capello preferring David James in the goal. Jermaine Defoe, Theo Walcott and Wayne Rooney are the other three strikers picked by Capello who has urged his midfield to chip in with goals. Matthew Upson and Jonathan Woodgate too make a return to the international fold after being ignored due to injuries and lack of form.

 

 

David Beckham too has been included in the squad and the former Real Madrid player will be traveling from Los Angeles to take part in the match before heading off to Beijing to attend the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Capello is also expected to name his full time captain for the upcoming World Cup on Tuesday. The England coach has so far named four captains in the four friendlies that he has been in charge including Beckham but only Rio Ferdinand and John Terry are thought to remain in contention.
