Dynamo and PSG played out a 0-0 draw at Parc des Princes last week. There were few chances created by both outfits, and Dynamo keeper Stanislav Bogush had just one or two saves of note to be made.

Dynamo Kyiv beat FC Chornomorets Odessa 3-1 on Sunday. Andriy Nesmachniy opened the scoring for Dynamo, but his strike was cancelled out by Vladimir Bondarenko. However goals from Sergiy Kravchenko and Alexandr Aliyev ensured that Kiev would end up winning 3-1.

PSG would have certainly liked a goal going into the second leg, but they know that an away goal will create problems for Dynamo. Stephane Sessegnon was at the heart of every PSG move in the first leg, but the Paris side failed to make their chances count. PSG aren’t new to this situation though. Against Braga, they drew 0-0 at home, and won 1-0 in Portugal to progress to the next round.

Le Guen chose to keep both Claude Makelele and Ludovic Giuly on the bench for the first leg with one eye on the weekend domestic fixture against Lille. However that fixture failed to yield any goals too, and PSG remain tied on points with Lille in the league.

PSG were the only home team who did not win in the first leg. Dynamo are still marginal favourites given their great home form, but the momentum could swing PSG’s way if they get an early goal in Kiev.
