Dynamo are currently placed third in the group and if the status quo is maintained then they will go through to the UEFA Cup. But a win for Fenerbahce, who currently have 2 points, will take them above Dynamo and consequently guarantee the UEFA Cup consolation prize.

The knock out slots in this group have already been claimed by Arsenal and Porto.

 

 

Dynamo started off with a 1-1 draw at home against the Gunners. It looked like Kiev would register a win, but a late goal from William Gallas ensured the sides shared the points. This was followed by a 0-0 draw against Fenerbahce and a 1-0 win over Porto. Matchday 4 saw the club lose 1-2 to Porto at home effectively ending their challenge in this group. Last Matchday they lost 0-1 to Arsenal.

Meanwhile Fenerbahce will also be hoping to grab the UEFA Cup spot although they have not been great travelers at all this season. Fenerbahce coach Luis Aragones will hope the Turkish side can put their woes behind them and grab the consolation prize at Kiev.

 

 

Fenerbahce started off with a 1-3 loss to Porto, but bounced back to hold Dynamo to a 0-0 draw in their next game. However a 2-5 mauling by Arsenal on Matchday 3 ended their hopes of progressing in this competition. In their next game, Fenerbahce held the Gunners to a 0-0 draw, but it was too late by then. Last Matchday Porto beat them 1-2 to confirm their place in the knockout stages. Fenerbahce will be without prolific striker Semih Senturk for this game as he is out for three weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
