Celtic return to league action this weekend after an eventful last couple of weeks, which included getting knocked out of one cup and winning another! The weekend before last, Celtic were dumped out of the Scottish Cup after a 1-0 defeat at St. Mirren. Last Sunday a rather dull affair (again) against their city rivals in the League Cup Final went to extra time but with their very first and very last attacks of the extra time period, Celtic managed to score goals to lift the trophy with a 2-0 score line. Buoyed by this result, they travel to Dundee United for a league encounter this weekend that they know they simply cannot lose.

Both Celtic and Rangers have been leap-frogging each other at the top of the table recently, and as the season draws to a close, any and all slip ups could prove to be very costly.
