The Gers clinched a second successive SPL title with a 1-0 win over Hibernian last week. the matter was settled with a lone goal from Kyle Lafferty. This is the 53rd Scottish title for Rangers and has come about even as the club struggles under financial issues.

Manager Walter Smith has guided Rangers superbly, but his future is uncertain at the Ibrox. He may leave in the summer, but the Rangers board is said to be keen that he stays.

Meanwhile Dundee United are currently 3rd with 62 points from 35 games and have secured the third European spot for the SPL. Last week they lost 0-2 to Celtic thanks to goals from Diomansy Kamara and Robbie Keane. For this game, Paul Dixon misses out with a broken metatarsal, but otherwise United have a full team to choose from.
