After only managing a goalless draw in Yerevan, Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb are in danger of facing an early exit from Europe's premier club competition when they take on FC Pyunik in the second leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie at the Maksimir Stadium. The Croatian champions dominated possession in Yerevan, but were unable to find a way past Pyunik keeper Edvard Hovhannisyan. Milan Baledj, Sammir, Miroslav Slepicka and Igor Biscan all went close for Dinamo, but they could not get that crucial away goal that would have given them some breathing space ahead of the second leg.

The result was a disappointment for Dinamo boss Krunoslav Jurcic, who had expected his side to beat the Armenian champions comfortably. Dinamo are still favourites to progress because of their formidable European record at home, but an early goal from FC Pyunik could end up setting the cat among the pigeons.

Pyunik did their chances of qualification no harm with the goalless draw in the first leg at the Yerevan Republican Stadium. Markos Pizzelli had an early chance for the hosts, and captain Sargis Hovsepyan was denied by a last ditch tackle in the 73^rd minute.

The winners of this game will take on the winners of the Bohemians- Red Bull Salzburg game in the third qualifying round. Pyunik, who had to stave off a fierce challenge from rivals Ararat to win the Armenian Premier League last season, will certainly fancy their chances of an upset in the Croatian capital.
