After producing the only goalless stalemate of the first leg a week ago in Bulgaria, Dinamo Moscow and CSKA Sofia meet again in the Russian capital to decide which team will progress to the group stages of the Europa League. Dinamo would quite happy after the draw in Sofia, although coach Andrei Kobelev would definitely have preferred to come away with an away goal. As the Dinamo stadium is under repair, we’ll see the teams doing battle at the Arena Khimki instead.

Dinamo were beaten 3-0 at home by Russian Premier League leaders Rubin Kazan on Sunday. Alejandro Dominiguez scored a penalty in either half, and Alexander Ryazantsev added a late goal as Rubin went four points clear at the top of the table.

CSKA Sofia have been promised a difficult time in Moscow in the second leg, and manager Luboslav Penev will be urging his boys to get an early away goal and make life difficult for their hosts. CSKA have a great record in the A Bulgarian PFG this season- they have scored 10 goals, and let in none.

CSKA’s last game was against Sportist Svoge on Sunday, and the Army men won 2-0 to make it three wins out of three in the Bulgarian league. Marquinhos gave CSKA the lead on 13 minutes, and Yordan Todorov doubled it on 45 minutes. CSKA are now sole leaders in Bulgaria after Chernomorets could only draw with Beroe.
