Bottom placed Derby County welcome West Ham in their next Premiership clash this weekend knowing fully well that unless they turn their season around they will be in the Championship next season. It is already being speculated that Derby County boss Billy Davies is the next Premiership manager facing the axe following the exit of Wigan boss Chris Hutchings.

In their last Premiership game, Derby suffered a 2-0 loss at Aston Villa thanks to goals from Martin Laursen and Ashley Young. Derby County began the season pretty well with a 2-2 draw against Portsmouth. However that match remains only a memory as they lost successive games to languish at the bottom of the Premier League. Derby County are hampered by the fact that striker Jon Macken has agreed to a loan move to Barnsley as well.

West Ham on the other hand have had a decent beginning under Alan Curbishley. The former Charlton boss has molded the outfit well, but has lost key players to injuries.

Craig Bellamy and Bobby Zamora continue to be monitored on a day-to-day basis for fitness and availability, while Anton Ferdinand has a strained hamstring. Noble missed last Sunday's game with a groin injury and it is unclear if he will be fit enough for the Derby clash.

Dean Ashton is expected to miss up to six weeks after spraining his ligaments, while Faubert is out for six months with a ruptured Achilles tendon. Kieron Dyer has also not played recently and is out indefinitely.

West Ham have drawn the last two of their three Premiership matches against Portsmouth and Bolton and will expect to win this one easily.
