With relegation to the Championship almost guaranteed, Derby manager Paul Jewell will be hoping his team can show some spunk as the Premiership enters into the business phase. Jewell has brought in some new players in January with the view of getting back straight into the Premier League.

Fulham have had a mixed season at beat. Manager Roy Hodgson would have been delighted with the Cottagers' 1-0 win over Everton and would have hoped it would signal a revival in fortunes. However in their next game Fulham crashed to a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United with Mark Viduka and Michael Owen scoring the goals.

That game was also Kevin Keegan's first win as Magpies manager. Fulham are lacking firepower up front and their move for Rangers hit man Daniel Cousin was blocked by FIFA as he had already played for two clubs this season. Furthermore there is speculation that Jimmy Bullard will quit should the club fail to survive this season.
