The Danish side bounced back from their defeat to Netherlands in their opening group game to secure a comfortable 2-1 win over Cameroon in their last game.

Coach Morten Olsen was pleased with his side’s performance that should have had been rewarded by a bigger margin of victory. With Netherlands already booking a place in the knockout stage, the winner of the match between Japan and Denmark will decide who will progress to the next round.

While Denmark need to beat Japan in their final game, the Japanese need just a draw to hold on to their second position in the group thanks to a superior goal difference compared to the Danish team.
