Wales boss John Toshack has virtually no midfield to speak of going into this game as more than five regular midfielders are injured. Joe Ledley has a dislocated finger, David Vaughan has a calf issue, Carl Fletcher is out with a back injury, while Simon Davies has a groin strain and Jason Koumas has an Achilles problem.
Danny Gabbidon and striker Rob Earnshaw were already injury absentees before Toshack named his squad for the friendly.

However not all is lost as the injuries give Aaron Ramsey and Jack Collison a chance to win their first starting caps for Wales. Toshack has called up Owain Tudur-Jones and Darcy Blake as cover for the injured players, but they may start on the bench rather than in the middle.
On Wednesday, captain Craig Bellamy will lead out a hugely inexperienced playing 11 for Wales as the new-look squad contains eight players under the age of 20. Bellamy is expected to partner upfront with Sam Rickets in this game.

On the Danish side, the friendly offers Nicklas Bendtner a chance to showcase his talent on the international stage and stake his claim for a regular place in the national team. With the hugely experienced Thomas Sorensen in goal and Daniel Agger marshalling their defense, the Danes have a resilient squad that will give Wales a run for their money.
