Denmark made it through to South Africa as winners of Group One of the UEFA World Cup Qualifying rounds. The Danes put in a creditable performance that saw them finish above Portugal in this group.

Denmark coach Morten Olsen will be hoping his side can build on their good showing and go to the world cup in a confident frame of mind. Olsen has named a 21-man squad for this month's friendlies against South Korea and the United States. Thomas Kahlenberg has recovered from his injuries and is back in the team as are Soren Rieks and striker Jesper Gronkjaer. However defender Daniel Agger is out due to a back injury.

South Korea have also qualified for the world cup and will be keen to test out new players in this game. South Korea boss Huh Jung-moo was on a collision course with Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson after he called up skipper Park Ji-sung for the friendlies. However Park himself clarified the situation and has stated he would like to play against Denmark as well as Serbia four days later.
