Denmark go into the final match of the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Iceland with just pride left to play for after they were eliminated from the race to grab the final qualification spot possible.

Denmark lost out to Northern Ireland on Saturday after having taken a second half lead through Nicklas Bendtner. However goals by Warren Feeney and David Healy made sure that it was Denmark and not Northern Ireland who were knocked out of the qualifiers with just a game to go.

However all is not lost for Morten Olsen's who still have a good chance of finishing third in the table. With Northern Ireland favorites to lose out against Spain, Denmark will have to repeat their performance against Iceland on Wednesday and hope that Spain does manage to win their match, which will Denmark to third in the group table.

And they do have a good chance against an Iceland team that has lost three of their last five matches and is just one point above the foot of the table. Iceland are destined to finish sixth in the group table though coach Ólafur Jóhannesson will be hoping that the team bounces back from the two defeats against Liechtenstein and Latvia and finish the campaign on a high.

This will be the 50-year old's first game in charge of Iceland after being appointed to replace Eyjólfur Sverrisson as the coach of the national team. Jóhannesson has called up three new faces to the national squad with Sverrir Thór Gardarsson, Eggert Jónsson and Bjarni Vidarsson getting their first international call-ups of their career.

Denmark are fourth in Group F with 17 points from 11 games, while Iceland are sixth with 8 points from 11 games.
