The Eagles are staring at administration for a second time in less than a decade. Reports suggest that many of the first team players will be sold off to clear debts, a point that was underlined by manager Neil Warnock who led the players to the centre circle after beating Peterborough United 2-0 on Saturday.

Palace put in an excellent performance against Wolves last weekend, twice taking the lead through Alan Lee and Darren Ambrose but Wolves managed to pull level on both occasions thanks to goals from David Jones and Ronald Zubar.

Warnock will be hoping that history will repeat on Tuesday as he looks to secure the required result to bring some cheer for the embattled fans. Both the teams last met in the competition back in 1994-95 season with Palace holding Wolves to a draw before thrashing them 4-1 in the replay.

Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, George Elokobi and Stefan Maierhofer should be available for selection after recovering from their injuries though Michael Kightly and Dave Edwards are still a fortnight away from recovering full fitness.
