Just 10 points from a possible 15 in their last five matches has seen the Rossoneri slip five points behind second placed Juventus with just eight games remaining in the season. With hopes of winning a league title all but over, manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted that his side will have done well if they manage to pip Juventus and finish second in the league table for the first time in four seasons.

Milan secured a last gasp victory over Lecce last weekend with Ronaldinho breaking the deadlock late in injury time before Filippo Inzaghi wrapped up the points with a simple header into an empty net. With his side knocked out of all other competitions, Ancelotti will be hoping they can finish the season on a strongest possible note.

Meanwhile Chievo will be hoping to maintain their excellent recent form that has seen them win three of their last five matches, including a 3-0 drubbing of Lazio. Chievo have hit form at the right moment and manager Domenico Di Carlo will be hoping that his side will be able to maintain the form for the remainder of the season and try to finish as near to the top half of the table as possible.

Chievo played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Juventus in their last match with the Mussi Volanti twice being pegged back after taking the lead through Sergio Pellissier before Juventus looked to have wrapped up the win thanks to a late goal by Vincenzo Iaquinta only for Pellissier completing his hat trick by scoring the equalizer in injury time.
