The 42-year old has seen his side throw away an excellent start to the season to slip down to fourth in the league table. With Napoli and Roma putting up consistent performances and Fiorentina slowly finding their form, Juventus are in serious danger of missing out on a Champions League spot next season and pressure is high on Ferrara to turn his side’s form around very quickly.

The Bianconeri have lost three of their last four games including a disappointing 3-0 defeat to AC Milan in their last game. Juventus needed to collect all three points to remain in touch with league leaders Inter Milan but were unable to find an answer to Milan’s excellent performance.

Reports in the Italian media have suggested that Russia coach Guus Hiddink has been approached and has agreed to take over from Ferrara though his client revealed that the club has not been in touch with the former Chelsea manager.

Meanwhile Chievo Verona will be looking to take advantage of Juventus’ poor run of form and snap out of a three match losing streak. Three defeats in their last three games has seen Chievo slip down to 13th in the league table and while his side is not in an immediate danger of a relegation fight, coach Domenico Di Carlo will be hopeful of turning their form around and move up the league table.
