AC Milan coach Leonardo will be hoping that their shock win over Real Madrid will prove to be a springboard for the club to climb up the Serie A table starting with a victory over Chievo Verona when the two teams clash on Sunday. A disappointing start to the season has seen Milan slip seven points behind league leaders Inter Milan in the league table. However results are slowly improving for the Rossoneri who are unbeaten in their last three league games which including another excellent performance in their 2-1 win over AS Roma last weekend.

Milan looked on course for another defeat after Roma took an early lead through Jeremy Menez in the 3rd minute but they fought back in the second half with Ronaldinho restoring parity from the penalty spot before Pato grabbed the winner in the 67th minute.

The Brazilian youngster was also on target in Milan's 3-2 win over Madrid in the midweek by scoring a brace which included the winner two minutes from the final whistle.

Milan will be hoping to repeat last season's performances against Chievo which saw them win both their matches by a narrow 1-0 margin. Clarence Seedorf scored the winner for Milan in their match last season and the Dutchman will be looking for an encore on Sunday.

Chievo on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Bari in their last league match and collect vital three points that could see them climb as high as fifth in the league table.

Chievo were completely outplayed by Bari with the visitors taking an early lead through Sergio Almiron before Andrea Ranocchia doubled the lead in the 65th minute. Erjon Bogdani gave Chievo some hope by reducing the deficit with still eight minutes remaining on the clock but Bari hung on to claim all three points from the game.
