Arguably the most awaited match of the season, the Chelsea vs Liverpool Premiership clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday promises to be a humdinger. Watch all the live streaming football here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Chelsea have maintained an unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge. Furthermore they are yet to be beaten in this calendar year. New boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has inherited a successful side and the addition of Jose Bosingwa and Deco has added bite to Chelsea's already strong side.

The Blues were already a good team before Scolari arrived; now they seem to have gotten better and can close out games even when they trail as they did against Manchester City early in the season. With as many as five regular players out due to injury, Chelsea still managed to trash Middlesbrough 5-0 last weekend.

 

 

Goals from Salomon Kalou, Juliano Belleti, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda highlighted a powerful Chelsea statement at the Riverside. Roman Abramovich wanted style and substance in his Chelsea team and it looks like he has got it with Scolari at the helm.

However any clash against Liverpool has its own spice and Scolari will be acutely aware of this fact. Deco could be back for this game after recovering from a torn thigh muscle. Petr Cech and Joe Cole are also in line to return for this clash.

 

 

But Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien and Ricardo Carvalho continue to be sidelined.

Meanwhile Liverpool have gone from strength to strength this season. They have won two games after trailing by 2 goals. Against Manchester City, the Reds had to fight hard for the win, but against Wigan last week they made it look like a walk in the park. Amr Zaki had put the visitors ahead at Anfield, before Dirk Kuyt equalized. Zaki again put Wigan ahead, but Reira leveled after Antonio Valencia was sent off. Late in the game Kuyt finished off to give Liverpool another comeback win.

Manager Rafael Benitez will be missing Fernando Torres and possibly Martin Skrtel for the Chelsea clash and this could prove to be the difference between two teams that are early contenders for the Premier League crown this season.
