The Blues huffed and puffed their way into the fourth round after being forced into a replay following the 1-1 draw in the original game. In the replay, Chelsea went down to a goal from Adam Barrett before Michael Ballack equalized and Salomon Kalou made it 2-1.

The other goals were scored by Nicolas Anelka and Frank Lampard to give Luiz Felipe Scolari's side a relatively easy path into the fourth round.

However all is not rosy at Stamford Bridge after Didier Drogba was left out for the game against Southend. Media pundits reckon this signals the end of his Chelsea stint. The Ivorian has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, but as yet nothing has materialized.

More worrying for Scolari is the fact that Joe Cole has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury in the win over Southend.

Meanwhile Ipswich made it this far in the FA Cup thanks to a wonderful showing over Chesterfield in the third round beating them 3-0. Jon Walters scored from the penalty spot in the 50th minute after Phil Picken's handball, while Pablo Counago and Jon Stead finished off Chesterfield's challenge late on.

Ipswich are in the mid-table in the Championship, but fans will be hoping they can cause an upset at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Watch Chelsea vs Ipswich Live online on Live Sport Network, the leading source to watch live FA Cup action on the web.
