Chelsea's hard-fought draw at the Camp Nou notwithstanding, Barcelona are still favorites to go through to the final of Europe's premier club competition when the two teams clash in the second leg of their semi-final tie in London this Wednesday. In the first leg at the Camp Nou, Barcelona created multiple opportunities, but were unable to get past Peter Cech in the Blues' goal. In the absence of Ashley Cole, it fell upon Jose Bosingwa to mark the immensely talented Lionel Messi and the Portuguese defender emerged with credit from the game.

Lionel Messi was completely neutralized and Chelsea blunted all of Barca's forays into their area thanks to stout defending. The Blues also had a couple of chances to get ahead, but Didier Drogba failed to provide the finishing touch on those occasions.

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink will be delighted that his side has maintained parity ahead of the return leg in London. The game will have added spice after many of Barca stars accused Chelsea players of using ''dirty tricks'' in the first leg. Hiddink has defended his players and said they will do all they can to win on Wednesday.

Chelsea could be without Deco and Ricardo Carvalho for this crucial game after both players failed to regain fitness for this weekend's game against Fulham. Joe Cole and Paulo Ferreira remain long-term absentees.

Barcelona meanwhile warmed up for the visit to London with a stunning 6-2 win over rivals Real Madrid over the weekend. Manager Pep Guardiola will hope his players, most notably Messi and Thierry Henry, carry their form into the UEFA Champions League as well as help the Catalan giants qualify for the Rome final.
