Chelsea will be keen to maintain their perfect start under Guus Hiddink when they welcome Wigan Athletic in their next Premier League encounter on Saturday. Watch all the live Premier League action here on Live Sport Network

 

 

Hiddink kicked off his short reign at Chelsea with a narrow 1-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend with Nicolas Anelka scoring the winner early in the 19th minute. Though Villa had chances to get back into the game, fans will be pleased with their team’s performance as Chelsea completely dominated the proceedings in the first half.

With Manchester United building a seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the table, the best Chelsea could hope for will be a second place finish though Hiddink has not given up hopes of winning the league title to mark his debut season in the Premiership.

 

 

Meanwhile Wigan Athletic manager will be desperately trying to boost the morale of his side with the Latics not having won since their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in January. More worrying for Bruce will be the lack of goals with Wigan managing just one goal in their last six matches ending any hopes of a European spot for the next season.

With his side facing a tough schedule next month, Bruce will be hopeful that his side will manage to come out of their lean patch sooner rather than later. However he faces a tough task on Saturday going by Wigan’s poor record against Chelsea.
