The Bhoys have picked up just two points from four games in Group C and are on the verge of elimination. They need to beat Hapoel and hope that Rapid Vienna beat Hamburger SV in the other group fixture at the Nordbank Arena. Celtic drew 0-0 with Hamburg on Match Day 4 in Germany.

Celtic beat St.Mirren 3-1 in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday. An own goal from Chris Innes and a 42^nd minute Georgios Samaras strike put the Hoops 2-0 ahead before Michael Higdon pulled one back for St.Mirren on the stroke of half time. The Israeli side, who had thrashed Rapid Vienna 5-1 at home on Match Day 3, did the double over the Austrians by beating them 3-0 in Vienna on Match Day 4.

Avihai Yadin, Gil Vermuth and Bibras Natkho were the scorers for Hapoel on Match Day 4. Yadin and Samuel Yeboah will miss the side’s final group fixture against Hamburg if they get booked at Parkhead. Eli Guttman’s side ran out 1-0 winners over Bnei Yehuda in their weekend Ligat Al match.
