Celtic have fallen behind Rangers in the race to defend their title. The Hoops lost 1-0 to their Old Firm rivals on Saturday with Steven Davis scoring the winner. The win took the Gers to the top of the table with 79 points from 35 games. This is two more than Celtic, who will have to win their remaining three games and hope their rivals slip up.

Boss Gordon Strachan will hope his side has it in them to defend their crown. However his plans have been hit by injuries or suspensions to crucial players at the crunch time. Scot Brown, who sat out the last two games through suspension, is expected to be back in the squad for this one.

But Stephen McManus is out with an injury, which means Glenn Loovens will get another chance to claim a regular spot in the Celtic line-up. Georgios Samaras has recovered from a thigh issue and should start this game, while Darren O'Dea remains a doubtful starter with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile Dundee United managed to keep their European dreams alive as they played out a thrilling 1-1 draw against Aberdeen over the weekend. Lee Miller's 34th-minute goal put Aberdeen ahead, but David Goodwillie netted the equalizer just four minutes later to leave things all square. Dundee were unable to take advantage when Mark Kerr was sent off in the 76th minute for dissent.

The draw leaves them on the 4th spot on the league table with 53 points from 35 games. Manager Craig Levein will welcome back captain Lee Wilkie, who served a suspension in the last game, but will continue to be without injured strikers Francisco Sandaza and Warren Feeney, who are both struggling with hamstring injuries.
