AC Milan will be searching for a fourth straight victory when they visit struggling Catania in their next Serie A clash on Sunday. Five wins from their last six matches has seen Milan get their season back into track with the club just seven points behind league leaders Inter Milan. With Inter scheduled to play Juventus next weekend, Milan boss Leonardo will be keen to maintain his side’s winning run and climb to second in the league table should both the teams slip up in that game.

Milan beat Cagliari in a thrilling encounter last weekend with neither team willing to give up right until the final whistle. Milan took an early lead through Clarence Seedorfbut Cagliari immediately hit back through Alessandro Matri before Andrea Lazzari gave them the lead.

Two goals in space of two minutes from Marco Borriello and Pato restored Milan’s lead before half time while Ronaldinho doubled their lead just past the hour mark. Though Cagliari managed to reduce the deficit through Nene, they were unable to find the equalizer and had to return home empty handed.

Marek Jankulovski, Gennaro Gattuso and Oguchi Onyewu remain out of action due to injuries while Borriello is a doubt for the game with the striker struggling with a knee injury. However Mathieu Flamini is expected to be available for selection after recovering from an ankle injury.

Milan are expected to secure a comfortable victory over Catania having completed the double over the team last season. Catania have won just one of their 13 matches so far and sit in 19th place in the league table.
