The Clarets have struggled to collect points since the departure of Owen Coyle and have lost their last four league games. While Burnley are just one point away from safety, manager Brian Laws will be aware that his side will have to maintain their home form in order to have any chance of escaping relegation come the end of the season.

McCarthy will be hopeful his side will maintain their recent good form against Burnley with Wolves winning three of the last four meetings between the two sides. Burnley should be boosted by return of Steven Fletcher and Steve Caldwell while Wolves will be without Michael Kightley and David Edwards.
