Bulgaria play Romania in their next Euro 2008 qualifier match knowing fully well that they need luck to be on their side if they are to qualify for the next year's Euro 2008 championship.

Bulgaria are currently positioned third in Group G table, four points behind Netherlands, who face a relatively easy fixture against Luxembourg this weekend. Bulgaria will have to win both their matches against Romania and Slovenia and hope that Netherlands slip up in order to have any chance of booking their place to Austria and Switzerland.

Bulgaria coach Dimitar Penev has called up uncapped goalkeeper Ivailo Petro of CSKA Sofia to replace injured Georgi Petkov while striker Zdravko Lazarov's good form for Slavia Sofia has been rewarded with his first call up to the national squad in over an year.

Meanwhile Romania coach Victor Piturca will be looking to end the qualification campaign with an undefeated record and has named a relatively unchanged squad to face Bulgaria and Albania. With the team already assured a place in next year's tournament, Piturca will be looking to end the campaign with two more victories and finish top of the group table.

Piturca has made just three changes to the squad with Cosmin Contra, Laurentiu Rosu and Mirel Radoi all missing out due to injuries.
