Bolton welcome Wigan to the Reebok Stadium in this weekend's Premiership clash knowing a win will lift them away from the danger zone and ease the pressure considerably.

Manager Gary Megson has show where his preferences lie as he elected to leave Nicolas Anelka, Kevin Davies, Kevin Nolan, Andy O'Brien, Ricardo Gardner and Jussi Jaaskelainen at home as his team traveled to Red Star Belgrade for their midweek UEFA Cup clash.

Deiberson Geovanni's first-minute strike was nullified by a Paul Scharner equalizer in the 25th minute as Wigan happily split points with their more exalted rivals.

Melchiot will be unavailable for the Bolton clash as he received a red card on December 1 and will serve a one-match ban on Sunday. Steve Bruce will be boosted by the return to fitness of England striker Emile Heskey. The29-year-old had sustained a broken metatarsal. on September 15, but appeared to have regained full fitness as evidenced in the 22 minutes he played against Arsenal.
