Scottish Premier League side Hibernian will play their final warm up game ahead of the new season this weekend when they travel to the Reebok Stadium to take on Bolton Wanderers. Bolton boss Gary Megson has made some thoughtful signings as he aims to guide the Trotters to a safe mid table finish this season. Zat Knight has arrived for £4m from Aston Villa, while Sean Davis has been captured on a free transfer. Bolton have also signed Sam Ricketts from Hull City and Paul Robinson on loan from relegated West Brom.

Bolton had a successful tour of Germany and Holland, where they drew against Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Eindhoven and beat Den Bosch. Their most recently friendly was against Hearts at Tynecastle. Fabrice Muamba gave Bolton the lead, only for Hearts to reply immediately through Christian Nade.

Hibs started their pre-season campaign with wins over Dunfermline and Glentoran. Two successive defeats against Glentoran and Preston North End followed, but the Easter Road outfit managed to put an end to their losing streak with a 0-0 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Manager John Hughes has still not picked up his starting XI for the SPL opener next week, and has stated that new his signings will not automatically win a starting spot. Hughes has brought in Patrick Cregg, Kevin McBride, Danny Galbraith and Graham Stack while skipper Rob Jones has left for Scunthorpe.
