The Gunners have bounced back nicely from their shock defeat to Fulham a fortnight ago to register three straight victories. Arsenal followed up their 3-0 thrashing of Newcastle United last month with a convincing 4-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

 

 

Theo Walcott put up yet another brilliant performance after his England heroics in the midweek to set up Robin Van Persie for the opening goal of the match while Emmanuel Adebayor scored a hat trick in the second half as Arsenal completely dominated the proceedings in the match.

Arsenal are within touching distance with league leaders Chelsea and Liverpool and manager Arsene Wenger will be hopeful that his side can maintain the form throughout the season as he looks to claim his first Premiership crown in five years.

 

 

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson will be aware that his side will have to be at their best if they are to have any hopes of getting something out of the tie. After a bright start to the season, Bolton have collected just one point from their last three matches with fans disappointed over their side's performance in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham last weekend.

Arsenal had secured a narrow victory in this fixture last season after pulling level from two goals down before an injury time own goal by Jlloyd Samuel giving them all three points from the match.
