Two goals in space of six first half minutes by Adebayo Akinfenwa saw Bolton play catch up for most of the match against League One opponents Northampton on Tuesday and though Kevin Nolan pulled one back for Bolton with eight minutes still remaining, the Trotters were unable to find the equalizer as Northampton pulled off a famous victory at the Reebok Stadium.

 

 

Manager Gary Megson will now be hoping that his side will be able to concentrate on the Premier League as he looks to improve on last season's 16th place finish and push for a place in the top half of the table this time around.

 

 

West Brom are yet to open their account in the Premier League so far following two close defeats to Arsenal and Everton and manager Tony Mowbray will be hopeful that his side can finally register a point against Bolton on Saturday.

Mowbray will take heart from West Brom's recent performances against Bolton with the Baggies having lost just one of their last six meetings in the Premiership.
