Last weekend proved to be very profitable for United who moved to the top of the table by beating arch rivals Liverpool while Chelsea dropped two vital points against Blackburn Rovers. The result means that United are now two points clear at the top of the table with just seven games remaining.

Though his side still has to face Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, manager Alex Ferguson will be confident that his side can maintain their winning streak and secure a historic fourth successive league title. There are some slight injury concerns for United with Wayne Rooney expected to be rested for the trip to Bolton after complaining of a knee injury while Wes Brown and John O’Shea are also out of action.

Meanwhile Bolton Wanderers will be looking to maintain their recent good form and collect at least a point from the game. Three wins from their last five games has seen Bolton climb to 14th in the table and while there is no immediate danger of relegation, coach Owen Coyle will be pushing his players to reach the 40-point mark and assure themselves another season of Premier League football.
