Bolton Wanderers go into their next UEFA Cup live match against Aris knowing fully well that a victory will leave them on the verge of qualifying for the next round.

The Trotters will be looking to build on their brilliant performance against Bayern Munich in their last match where the German giants were held to a 2-2 draw by Bolton. Lukas Podolski's two goals on the either side of half time had seen Bayern cancel out Ricardo Gardner's strike and Bayern looked set for a comfortable victory. However Kevin Davies' strike with just 8 minutes remaining provided Bolton with a precious point against a far superior opponents.

That was new manager Gary Megson's first UEFA Cup game in charge of his new team and the former Leicester City manager has already won hearts of Reebok Stadium faithful after having master minded Bolton to a shock 1-0 victory over Manchester United on the weekend.

And Megson will be confident of another favorable night for Bolton in the European competition with the Bolton manager yet to lose a single home match in Europe even against a far superior opponents such as Sevilla and Marseille.

Aris meanwhile will be hoping to maintain their level of performance that saw them beat Crvena Zvezda 3-0 in the only match played so far in the group stage of the competition. However they have a poor record on English soil, winning one and losing two of their last four matches.

And the defeats came in their last two matches with the club losing by a 5-1 margin to both Chelsea and Ipswich Town. But fans will be hopeful of a different result this time around with hopes of qualifying to the next round.
