Middlesbrough will be looking for another smash and grab victory away from home when they visit Ewood Park in their next Premiership clash against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Watch all the live Premier League action here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Boro were thrashed 5-0 by Chelsea at home last weekend, leaving manager Gareth Southgate with just one win in their last six matches, five of which have been ended in defeats. The club currently sit 13th in the league table and fans will be hopeful that their side will manage to collect maximum points against teams that have been tipped to finish near the top half of the league table.

After sneaking in a narrow 1-0 win against Wigan Athletic a fortnight ago, Boro took the field against Chelsea high on confidence as they snatch a point from the game but were battered right from the kick off with Salomon Kalou scoring a goal each in either half while Juliano Belletti, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda were also on target for the Blues.

 

 

Boro have collected just three points from their four away games played so far this season and Blackburn manager Paul Ince will be hoping to take advantage of Middlesbrough's poor away record to improve his side's home form that has seen them lose two of their four games played at Ewood Park.

A win for Blackburn could send them seventh in the league table provided other results go their way and Ince will be pleased with the start he has achieved since being catapulted from League Two to the Premiership.

 

 

Blackburn have a fairly good record against Middlesbrough in recent years with the club winning five of the last six meetings though Boro managed to hold them to a 1-1 draw the last time the two teams met in the league.
