Having held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw last Tuesday, Hull followed it up with another excellent performance to collect all three points against Manchester City last weekend.

Jozy Altidore and George Boateng put Hull two goals up early in the second half and though Emmanuel Adebayor pulled one back for City, Hull managed to hold on to their lead to collect vital three points from the game.

Geovanni should be available for selection after recovering from a knee injury while Kamel Ghilas and Dean Marney are also expected to regain fitness in time before the kick off.

Meanwhile Blackburn Rovers will be looking to recover from their disappointing defeat to Stoke City last weekend. Goals from Danny Higginbotham, Mamady Sidibe and Matthew Etherington were enough to condemn Blackburn to a heavy defeat and manager Sam Allardyce will be expecting a positive response from his side on Wednesday.

New signing Yildiray Basturk could make his debut for Blackburn after sitting out the game on Saturday. David Dunn remains the only major injury concern for Allardyce with Vince Grella expected to return to action after recovering from his thigh injury.
