Manchester United will be hoping to continue their ascent towards the top of the league table with a second straight league win when they visit Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Watch all the live Premier League action here on Live Sport Network.

A poor start to the season had seen United collect just five points from their first four matches but the defending champions looked close to returning back to their best with a 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

 

 

Though United were lucky to have collected all three points from the match after referee Rob Styles made a howler of a decision by awarding them a penalty after Ronaldo tumbled into the penalty area, manager Alex Ferguson will be satisfied with the overall performance from his side that saw them dominate the possession and chances against Bolton.

While new signing Dimitar Berbatov is yet to break his duck for United after three matches, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker put up a good performance against Bolton and looked at ease throughout the game, particularly following the introduction of Wayne Rooney, who will be expecting to start the match following a brilliant cameo late in the game.

 

 

Meanwhile Blackburn Rovers will be hoping to maintain their recent good form at home against Manchester United with manager Paul Ince keen to leave a mark against his former club. United have managed to register just one win in their previous four visits to Ewood Park but Ferguson will be expecting nothing less than a victory from his side this time around.

Gary Neville is expected to reclaim his place in the right back position after being left out of the squad for United's trip to Denmark for their Champions League clash on Tuesday while Owen Hargreaves is in line to recover from his knee injury.
