Blackburn welcome a wounded Chelsea to Ewood Park in this weekend's Premiership clash hoping to turn around their season following successive losses in their last two matches.

A poor run of just one win in seven matches has seen Blackburn slip down to 9th in the league table and manager Mark Hughes will be hoping that his team returns back to form sooner rather than later if it is to challenge for a third successive European finish.

Blackburn lost out to Wigan Athletic in a thrilling match last weekend and followed it up with another loss to Arsenal in the Carling Cup. While Hughes will be concerned with the amount of goals conceded by his team, he will be pleased by the form shown by Roque Santa Cruz who has now scored five times in last two matches.

Meanwhile Chelsea fans will be hoping that their team manages to remain in the title hunt in the absence of star striker Didier Drogba and captain John Terry. Drogba is out with a knee injury for the next couple of weeks after which the Ivory Coast striker will be off to play the African Nations Cup.

John Terry is out for at least six weeks after breaking three bones in his foot following a late tackle by Emmanuel Eboue on Sunday. However one good news on the injury front for Avram Grant will be the availability of Michael Ballack and Florent Malouda with both the players recovering from their respective injuries.
