After a decent start to the season, the Rovers have hit a rough patch and have collected just five points from their last nine games. The run of form has seen Blackburn remain uncomfortably close to the relegation zone and manager Sam Allardyce will be hoping to increase the gap by collecting all three points this weekend.

Blackburn have had a disappointing start to the new year, losing 3-1 to Aston Villa in their FA Cup tie before suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend. Allardyce has almost all of his main players available for action with both Vincenzo Grella and Brett Emerton expected to be fit for the tie this weekend.

Meanwhile Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will be hopeful that his side’s poor recent form is just a minor blip and his side will return back to form with a convincing victory this weekend. Fulham have managed just one win in their last five games and have lost their last two matches including a 3-2 defeat to Stoke City early this month.

The Cottagers will be looking to repeat their performance from November last year when they secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Blackburn with Clint Dempsey scoring a brace in the second half.
