Manchester City will be searching for their first win in four matches when they take on Birmingham City in the only Premier League match to be played on Sunday. Catch all the live football feeds from that game here on Live Sport Network. After an excellent start to the season, City have stumbled in their last three matches, managing to collect just three points from a possible nine. The drop in form has accompanied with a drop in standing with City slipping down from third to sixth in the league table.
However they are just one point behind fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur and do have a game in hand over their rivals. City put up yet another disappointing showing as they let slip a two goal lead to draw their match 2-2 against Fulham last weekend. Second half goals from Joleon Lescott and Martin Petrov saw City take a 2-0 lead by the hour mark but Fulham soon struck back through Damien Duff before Clint Dempsey equalized for the Cottagers. Kolo Toure and Martin Petrov are both a major doubt for City after missing out on the Carling Cup clash against Scunthorpe United on Wednesday while Robinho could make it to the bench after recovering from a foot injury.
Meanwhile Birmingham City coach Alex McLeish will be hoping that all his key players return back to fitness ahead of the game against City this weekend. As many as seven players are injured for Birmingham, though nearly all of them should be fit for the tie.
The Blues bounced back from three straight defeats in a perfect fashion as they registered a comfortable 2-1 win over Sunderland last weekend. Liam Ridgewell and James McFadden were on target for Birmingham and though Sunderland managed to reduce the deficit late in the game, the Blues hung on to claim all three points and move up to 15th in the league table.
